Hello, and welcome to my new blog. The aim of the blog is to try and spur myself to produce something creative each day. Ideally it is going to be a photograph, although, having tried to produce a photoblog in the past I know how hard this can be. Therefore, I will also include some other off-topic items from time to time or include something that may be related to photography things that are going to be happening in the future.

So, this being my first entry, it’s only right that I should include a photograph of the day. At the moment, I am staying in Applecross, a peninsula of the Western Highlands of Scotland which overlooks the Isle of Skye of one side and Torridon on the other. Along the middle of the peninsula is a range of mountains which has one of the most spectacular roads in the UK. So after suffering my usual height issues to climb up to 2,000 feet in about 10 minutes I was able to take the photo below which shows the short but hairy section of hair-pin bends towards the summit.

That’s the first day done and uploaded early on the 10th which makes it easier for me to take some more photographs in this brilliant area for tomorrow.

Comments and tips would be warmly welcomed.
